DANVERS, Mass. — Maxam Tire North America has introduced a pair of a high-performance materials-handling tires, the MS600 and MS700 resilient solid industrial tires, made with the patent-pending "liquid gold" rubber compound technology, EcoPoint3 (EP3), of its parent company, Sailun Group.

The EP3 liquid masterbatch compounding process reduces the filler content, yields higher ratios of stress at elongation and minimum proportions of impurities, the company said. The liquid-phased process subsequently produces optimum consistency and skid, wear and rolling resistance for more energy efficiency, Maxam claims.

The MS700 features a five-degree sidewall taper; a tread pattern and smooth centerline to provide a combination of traction and tread life while also enhancing steering and preventing chunking in aggressive applications; and a center compound for heat resistance and shock absorption, the company said.

Featuring a five-degree sidewall taper, the MS700 will be available in an extra-wide North American tread profile for maximum load distribution and stability when starting and stopping, Maxam said.

"Continuing the innovative development of the press-on MS600 we launched earlier this year, and creating the evolutionary EcoPoint3 compound technology, the new MS700 series represents Maxam Tire's commitment to providing unmatched performance, value, and efficiency to the industrial market," Troy Kline, Maxam Tire North America president, said.

"Focusing on simplifying productivity when creating the series, we are confident that the new programs will boost industry standards globally and provide the solutions that our customers deserve."

The new lines are being manufactured in Sailun Group's tire factory in Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam.

The EcoPoint3 compounding addresses the biggest three challenges in the tire industry, according to Maxam: Rolling, skid and wear resistance.

The proprietary process allows for the MS600's masterbatches to contain less filler, higher ratios of stress at elongation and minimum proportions of impurities, resulting in a more consistent and leading-edge compound, according to the tire maker.

The skid, wear and rolling resistance provide a stronger, safer and more energy-efficient tire, Maxam said.

Maxam also is offering additional sizes of the Maxam MS915 tire series for telehandlers and graders.

The new 370/75-28 and 400/75-28 sizes were developed specifically to provide the industry with an answer to demanding conditions where high traction is required in construction applications, the company said.

The tire features a deep non-directional tread pattern for traction,with a wide and flat footprint for improved stability and wear. In addition, the wear and cut resistant compound allows the MS915 to deliver performance, durability and traction, the company said.
